Job Description

Job Summary:

The School-Based Behavior Analyst will serve as the primary clinical leader for Dominion Care's Academy and Therapy and Education Center. This role will work collaboratively with school personnel to develop and implement positive support plans for students, providing support and professional development to teachers and school staff in appropriate intervention techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments: Determine the underlying causes of challenging behaviors and develop individualized behavior intervention plans.
  • Develop and Implement Programs: Plan and oversee the development and implementation of programs, policies, and best practices related to instruction using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work directly with students who exhibit inappropriate behaviors and provide support and professional learning for staff that work with such students.
  • Design and Implement Data Collection Systems: Assist in the interpretation of data and provide regular parent communication to ensure services are effective.
  • Cooperate with Staff and Administration: Promote a positive organizational climate and work with classroom teachers and support staff to model effective behavioral and instructional programming.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree or higher in a Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) approved field
  • Licensed Behavior Analyst required
  • One year of successful supervision/management experience preferred
  • Two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavior disorders
