Job Summary

Children's Hospital Of The King's Daughters is seeking a highly skilled Registered Behavior Technician to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and patient outcomes by maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu and clinic.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. You will be responsible for implementing ABA treatment programs, modeling pro-social and positive self-coping skills, and maintaining a safe and regulatory compliant treatment setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct treatment to patients under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in a 1:1 or group environment.
  • Review and implement patient-specific and general NDT and Behavior Clinic written behavioral and educational protocols.
  • Accurately collect and clearly report data on specified patient behaviors.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA requirements at all times.

Requirements

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification Required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred Education and Experience: Undergraduate degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health, Education, Arts & Science, Healthcare or related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent course work and/or previous training and direct care employment experience to demonstrate knowledge or expertise in children or adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Working Conditions

Inpatient hospital or outpatient practice/location with little exposure to dust, temperature, and the like.
