Job Summary

We are seeking an Environmental Intern to join our team at HF Sinclair Corporation. As an Environmental Intern, you will assist Environmental Personnel by performing Environmental assignments for the Environmental Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project assignments with other environmental personnel and technicians in the discipline group
  • Conduct analysis of environmental and operating data and provide reports with recommendations for improvement
  • Conduct research on environmental topics
  • Oversee entry of pertinent records and documentation of excess emissions and related operating data
  • Perform technical/regulatory analysis, field sampling and testing, and report preparation
  • Assist with other duties assigned by Environmental Manager
Requirements
  • Some completed courses needed for a Bachelor's Degree in an Environmental or Engineering Field are required
  • Basic knowledge of Environmental concepts, EPA regulations and ability to apply this knowledge analytically
  • Basic ability to stay abreast of new technology developments and processes
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft products
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with statistical analysis of safety related data is preferred
Work Environment

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs, climbing up to 200 ft, perceive color differences, required to wear personal protective equipment as needed and a respirator in emergency situations (beards are not permitted), ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles.

Depending on location must satisfactorily complete a comprehensive medical physical examination. Job conditions may require twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching or grasping, and working in confined spaces as permitted.
