Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant Team Lead to join our team at UCHealth. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of medical assistants and providing advanced knowledge of job responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead team members of an assigned area or function by demonstrating and providing advanced knowledge of job responsibilities.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Provide mentoring, monitoring, coaching, and contribute to the evaluation of team members' performance.
  • Quality and Efficiency: Serve as a positive role model for team members by working with them to promote efficiency, quality, teamwork, and cooperation.
  • Service Coordination: Assist with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments, and workflow, and promoting situational decision-making/problem solving.
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Perform all responsibilities of primary role, take responsibility for, or provide guidance to team members on the handling of simple or complex issues.
Requirements
  • Credentials: Essential:
    • Basic Life Support
    • Registered Medical Assistant
    • Certified Medical Assistant
  • Education and Experience: Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Required Licensure/Certification: Certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Minimum Experience: 1 year of healthcare experience.
  • Additional Requirements: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
