Part Time German Language Educator

The Lyceum Kennedy French American School is seeking a part-time German Teacher to join our team and teach 8th through 12th grade students.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement a challenging curriculum in German language and culture, tailored to the needs of 8th through 12th grade students.
- Establish a student-centered classroom environment that fosters engagement, motivation, and academic growth.
- Utilize technology to enhance instruction and assessment, while maintaining a balance between traditional and innovative teaching methods.
- Model cultural competence and promote cross-cultural understanding among students.
- Manage classroom behavior and conflicts in a fair and equitable manner.
- Evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies.
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.
- Two years of experience teaching German in a middle or high school setting.
- Ability to work the estimated schedule: Tuesday 8:15 - 11:30am; Wednesday 11:30am - 3:30pm; and Thursday 10:30am - 3:30pm.
- Preferred candidate will hold a teaching certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The hourly salary for this position shall be comprised between $45 and $63, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
