Riverside Immigrant Services & Empowerment (Riverside) is a leading immigrant integration center in New York City dedicated to supporting the economic mobility and social inclusion of newly arrived immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and computer-savvy Part-Time Development Associate to support our fundraising efforts and build capacity for our programs and services. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated professional interested in advancing their career in nonprofit fundraising.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process donations and prepare acknowledgment letters and other correspondence.
  • Create monthly fundraising reports and dashboards.
  • Send appropriate documentation to process contributions from supporters.
  • Manage Kindful CRM and communicate updates with stakeholders.
  • Maintain foundation, corporation, and individual donor files.
  • Conduct preliminary research on prospective corporate, foundation, and individual donors.
  • Reconcile donations with the Finance Team monthly.
  • Handle all administrative details associated with fundraising.
  • Coordinate production and mailing of year-end appeal letters.
Events and Volunteers
  • Maintain guest lists, gather and prepare registration materials, and perform other duties as assigned for fundraising events.
  • Collect and track volunteer hours.
  • Organize volunteer events in collaboration with the Executive Director.
  • Manage logistics and provide on-site support for the annual International Food Festival.
  • Prospect sponsorships for the annual event.
Requirements
  • An understanding and commitment to the organization's mission of supporting and advancing the immigrant community.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of three years experience in a fundraising position, preferably in a not-for-profit development office.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally.
  • Experience composing clear and compelling formal communications.
  • Ability to efficiently manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working with CRM databases.
  • Experience working with operational budgets, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint/Google Slides presentations.
Salary and Benefits

Riverside is committed to practicing salary transparency. The salary range for this part-time position (19.5 hrs per week) is $32,000 - $40,000.
