Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Shift Manager to join our team at Pactiv Evergreen's Corsicana Manufacturing Plant. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our warehouse and distribution center, ensuring seamless execution of our operations plan and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and engage with Lift Truck Operators, Team Leads, and Shift Coordinators to ensure highest levels of productivity and throughput.
  • Lead daily Tier 0 & Tier 1 meetings to discuss standard work, issues, and problems, and ensure resolution or routing as needed.
  • Execute the daily operations plan created by the Supply Chain Manager, working closely with Supply Chain Coordinators to monitor order queues and balance labor, equipment, and warehouse work tasks.
  • Address problems, issues, or adjustments as required to complete the operations plan and ensure on-time customer shipments.
  • Conduct safety audits, safety training, and promote a safety-oriented culture during your shift.
  • Monitor operator productivity and provide constructive feedback to help operators achieve maximum productivity levels.
  • Develop and implement supply chain plans to enhance product flow, minimize costs, and ensure quality and customer deliveries.
  • Assist in developing policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
  • Conduct distribution and network studies, monitor inventory, and analyze requirements to develop strategies for desired delivery times and order fill rates.
  • Drive innovation and Continuous Improvement at the site, championing Change Management to support operational improvements.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports, coordinating logistics activities with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) tasking and usage to maximize productivity.
Requirements
  • BA/BS Degree in logistics or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years business experience in Distribution/Warehouse Logistics.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); JDA (Red Prairie) a plus.
  • Self-directed, with ability to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies or potential issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with high analytical ability.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen.
  • Excellent problem identification and follow-through to issue resolution.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Demonstrates ability to work well with a variety of individuals.
  • Demonstrates understanding of automated distribution.
