Position Summary: The Regional Distribution Center Operations Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the Regional Distribution Center (RDC). This position is responsible for achieving all performance metrics (KPIs) and cost objectives while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct daily operations within the RDC, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate warehouse processes, implementing improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits of RDC operations to ensure adherence to compliance requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Act as the RDC representative on the local Safety Committee, fostering a culture of safety and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics or distribution management.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience in OEM distribution is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a unionized work environment.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain distribution operations.
  • Familiarity with distribution center process engineering and execution.
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems and best practices in warehouse operations.
  • Proficient in labor planning and resource management.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
  • Strong motivational abilities to enhance team performance.
  • Experience in recruiting and interviewing for operational leadership positions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Warehouse Management Systems, preferably SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications for handling hazardous materials.
  • Knowledge of US Market employment regulations and compliance standards.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish or German is a plus.
