Position Summary: The Regional Distribution Center Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations within the Regional Distribution Center (RDC). This position is essential for achieving established performance metrics (KPIs) and maintaining cost efficiency while surpassing customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize daily operations within the RDC to ensure peak performance and compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee hazardous material shipping processes, ensuring adherence to federal and international regulations.
  • Develop and implement reporting tools to analyze warehouse processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular audits of RDC operations to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment.
  • Act as the RDC Management representative on the local Safety Committee, fostering a culture of safety and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics or distribution.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a direct management or supervisory role.
  • Experience in OEM distribution is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a unionized work environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain distribution operations.
  • Expertise in distribution center process engineering and execution.
  • Familiarity with warehouse industry best practices and quality management systems.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on team development and performance enhancement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Warehouse Management Systems, preferably SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to obtain Dangerous Goods Certifications.
  • Understanding of US market employment regulations and compliance standards.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish or German is advantageous but not mandatory.
