Job Description Summary

The Campus Recruitment Specialist will play a pivotal role in enhancing recruiting efforts within the finance and actuarial sectors of the organization. This position is crucial for attracting top talent and ensuring successful hiring processes. The specialist must effectively manage timelines, set benchmarks, and prioritize tasks. They thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating a strong work ethic while enjoying the recruitment journey. This role focuses on our internship initiatives related to finance, accounting, and actuarial fields, playing a key part in sourcing and retaining exceptional candidates for these positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish connections with universities, participate in career fairs, and organize career events to engage potential candidates.
  • Review resumes, conduct interviews, and evaluate candidates for entry-level roles and internships.
  • Develop relationships with educational institutions.
  • Assess applicants' qualifications through thorough resume screening and interviews.
  • Provide reports on recruitment metrics post-career events, detailing candidate engagement and hiring outcomes.
  • Evaluate applicants' backgrounds, education, and qualifications.
  • Communicate with candidates regarding their application status, job responsibilities, compensation, and benefits.
  • Prepare and extend job offers to selected candidates.
  • Coordinate and facilitate on-site events for finance, accounting, and actuarial internship programs.
  • Maintain relationships with current interns and identify full-time opportunities for graduating interns.
  • Support key program sponsors in enhancing the internship experience.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to define hiring needs and design effective internship programs.
  • Adhere to established recruiting and hiring processes.
  • Ensure proper documentation to minimize risks.
  • Willingness to commute to the office and travel to key educational institutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years in recruiting, Human Resources, customer service, or related fields.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and negotiation skills with a focus on achieving business results.
  • Experience in executing recruitment strategies, including employer branding, candidate management, and diversity sourcing.
  • Strong consulting skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Analytical skills to create, measure, and optimize workflows between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Experience in the Financial Services or Insurance sector, particularly within finance or actuarial roles.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid work environment (2-3 days per week).
  • Travel to educational institutions 25-30% of the time.
