Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, collaborative, and results-driven attorney to become a vital part of our federal regulatory affairs team.

As a Senior FERC Attorney, you will represent the organization before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on electric-related issues.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will possess experience from a law firm or in-house setting, specifically representing renewable or independent generators on electric matters before FERC. Experience with FERC's Office of Enforcement and transactions necessitating authorization under section 203 of the Federal Power Act will be regarded as particularly advantageous. Additionally, familiarity with FERC-regulated transmission assets is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will engage in complex legal matters and projects, delivering timely and high-quality legal services with minimal oversight. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive written and verbal legal counsel to clients.
  • Identifying and mitigating legal risks affecting the organization.
  • Ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and minimizing reliance on external legal counsel.
  • Disclosing significant legal issues to senior management.
  • Performing additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Active member in good standing of the State Bar.
  • Juris Doctorate degree.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Compensation
The base salary for this role ranges from $196,000.00 to $294,000.00 annually, with actual compensation dependent on various factors.
