Position Overview
We are seeking a forward-thinking, collaborative, and results-driven attorney to enhance our federal regulatory affairs team.

As a Senior FERC Attorney, you will represent the organization before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on various electric matters.

The ideal candidate will possess experience from a law firm or in-house setting, specifically representing renewable or independent generators on electric issues before FERC. Experience with FERC's Office of Enforcement and transactions necessitating authorization under section 203 of the Federal Power Act will be highly regarded.

Prior experience at FERC or in representing clients with FERC-regulated transmission assets is also considered advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will engage in complex legal matters and projects, delivering timely and high-quality legal services with minimal oversight. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive written and verbal legal counsel to clients.
  • Identifying and mitigating legal risks associated with the organization.
  • Ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and minimizing reliance on external legal counsel.
  • Communicating potentially significant legal issues to senior management.
  • Executing additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Active member in good standing of the State Bar.
  • Juris Doctorate degree.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Compensation
The base salary for this position ranges from $196,000.00 to $294,000.00 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
