Position: Chargeback Reconciliation Specialist

Location: Remote

Contract Duration: 04 months (potential for extension)

Compensation: $25.16/hr on W2

Essential Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, intermediate Excel skills (including simple formulas and Vlookup).

Preferred Skills: Familiarity with SAP/Citrix.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under the guidance of the Supervisor and Manager of Chargebacks, the Chargeback Reconciliation Specialist is tasked with reconciling outstanding chargeback entries and reporting findings to management.
Primary Duties:
  • Conducts thorough analysis of variance lines returned by Suppliers; identifies the root cause of issues and determines the necessary actions to resolve them, which may involve coordination with multiple internal departments and Supplier representatives.
  • Reconciles chargebacks in line with established guidelines.
  • Maintains regular communication with Suppliers to address all payment-related issues.
  • Oversees the Chargeback Accounts Receivable portfolio for assigned Suppliers; responsible for the timely collection of outstanding payments and adherence to aging goals set by senior management; aims to minimize write-off amounts.
Qualifications:
  • Requires comprehensive training in fields such as business administration, accounting, sales, marketing, or computer sciences, typically acquired through a four-year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent experience; a minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience is generally required. A post-graduate business degree is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of product and supplier dynamics, product relationships, GPOs, 340B, and trends within the pharmaceutical/life sciences sector.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical wholesale product pricing and contract management.
  • Solid grasp of policies, programs, and services; thorough understanding of business segments including retail, health systems, alternate care, and group purchasing organizations.
  • Excellent computer proficiency to effectively utilize company systems and programs; strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of sales, purchasing, supply chain management, and/or inventory management principles.
  • Exceptional relationship management and contract management skills, demonstrating adherence to departmental processes and procedures.
  • Outstanding project management abilities, including the capacity to collaborate across the organization and manage multiple projects of varying scope in a cross-functional setting.
  • Ability to handle confrontational issues positively.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong negotiation capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail; ability to implement processes that ensure satisfactory audit practices.
