Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented entry-level accounting professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Document journal entries accurately.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations for bank and other accounts.
- Assist with various accounting and financial operations, including:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Billing
- Collections
- Bank Deposits
- Support the maintenance of client matters related to the finance department.
- Contribute to budget and forecasting preparation and analysis.
- Perform general ledger account analysis.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve client inquiries.
- Safeguard the firm's value by maintaining confidentiality of information.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred.
- Two to three years of foundational accounting experience in a professional services setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and advanced Excel.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of accuracy.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Familiarity with Rippe/Surepoint is a plus.
- Experience with accounting software is required.
- Previous interaction with law firms or professional services clients is advantageous.
- Team-oriented work ethic.
