Site Reliability Engineer/ITAO

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer/ITAO to join our team at Deutsche Bank. As a key member of our technology solution, you will play a critical role in developing applications for key business areas.

As a Site Reliability Engineer/ITAO, you will work closely with application teams to ensure stable, well-monitored applications that are resilient to faults. You will agree and periodically review Service Level Agreements and Service Level Objectives to achieve the correct level of availability for the applications based on their criticality.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain Error Budgets for the application teams in your area and prevent releases in the event the production stability and availability for applications is too low
- Have knowledge of and experience in relevant tools used in the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) environment and be a specialist in one or more technical domains to ensure that all associated stakeholders are provided with an optimum level of service in line with Service Level Agreements and Operating Level Agreements
- Manage application availability, performance, and compliance, as well as organize L3 support for the application with development teams and review policy compliance for the application
- Identify gaps and drive remediation of gaps as they relate to security and compliance, while managing technical roadmap of the application, ensuring timely upgrades, patches, and strategic changes are applied in addition to, monitoring and alerting across a clearly defined set of Corporate & Investment Banking applications, providing optimum service level to the Business
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a concentration in Computer Science or IT-related discipline OR experience in Information Technology (IT) in large corporate environments, specifically in the area of controlled production environments or in Financial Services Technology in a client-facing function
- Demonstrable Site Reliability Engineering experience
- Experience in Prometheus/Grafana monitoring stack and Scripting skills (Groovy, shell, etc)
- Working experience in mid-range technologies, platforms, i.e. UNIX and ORACLE database experience required. Working experience of Structured Query Language (SQL) Server, Web logic also desirable
- Container orchestration tools such as Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, as well as continuous integration/continuous deployment (or development) (CI/CD) Tooling
