About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer/ITAO to join our team at Deutsche Bank. As a key member of our technology solution, you will play a critical role in developing applications for key business areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Closely work with application teams to ensure stable, well-monitored applications that are resilient to faults.
  • Agree and periodically review Service Level Agreements and Service Level Objectives to achieve the correct level of availability for the applications based on their criticality.
  • Maintain Error Budgets for the application teams in your area and prevent releases in the event the production stability and availability for applications is too low.
  • Have knowledge of and experience in relevant tools used in the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) environment and be a specialist in one or more technical domains to ensure that all associated stakeholders are provided with an optimum level of service in line with Service Level Agreements and Operating Level Agreements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a concentration in Computer Science or IT-related discipline OR experience in Information Technology (IT) in large corporate environments, specifically in the area of controlled production environments or in Financial Services Technology in a client-facing function.
  • Demonstrable Site Reliability Engineering experience.
  • Experience in Prometheus/Grafana monitoring stack and Scripting skills (Groovy, shell etc).
  • Working experience in mid-range technologies, platforms, i.e. UNIX and ORACLE database experience required. Working experience of Structured Query Language (SQL) Server, Web logic also desirable.
  • Container orchestration tools such as Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, as well as continuous integration/continuous deployment (or development) (CI/CD) Tooling.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in a high-level programming language desirable.
