Position Overview:
The University of Miami UHealth/SoLé Mia is set to deliver exceptional academic medicine to the surrounding communities. Key Responsibilities:
The Biomedical Technician 3 will engage in a variety of essential tasks, including:
- Installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of sophisticated biomedical equipment.
- Providing technical support and guidance to junior technicians and relevant subordinate staff.
- Maintaining precise documentation of medical equipment.
- Overseeing services from external vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Staying informed about applicable regulatory agencies and the relevant policies, codes, standards, and regulations.
- Inspecting incoming equipment for adherence to codes, standards, and manufacturer specifications.
- Ordering necessary parts and supplies for medical equipment servicing.
- Offering mentorship and training to fellow employees.
- Acting as a resource for engineering and clinical staff regarding operational and maintenance procedures for clinical equipment.
- Utilizing office automation hardware and software, along with diagnostic service software.
- Updating the medical equipment technical library with new versions as they become available.
- Adhering to University and unit-level policies and procedures while safeguarding University assets.

Core Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- An Associate Degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 4 years of pertinent experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments.
- The ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively under pressure.
- Discretion in processing and handling confidential information.
- Flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
- A commitment to the University's core values.
- The capability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Any relevant education, certifications, and/or work experience may be considered.
