We are seeking a skilled Industrial HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team at American Iron & Metal. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of our facility's infrastructure and systems, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
Job Summary:
An experienced Industrial HVAC Technician is sought to join our team at American Iron & Metal. The successful candidate will have a background in HVAC systems, general facility maintenance, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- HVAC System Maintenance and Repair:
- Regularly inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation units.
- Detect and resolve HVAC system malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Manage HVAC system calibrations to ensure optimal performance.
- General Facility Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on facility equipment and systems, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Promptly address and resolve facility-related issues to minimize disruption to operations.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on building infrastructure, including lighting, fixtures, and flooring.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Familiarize yourself with safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding building systems and safety standards.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform urgent repairs as needed.
- Be available for on-call support as required.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Report any major issues or potential hazards to the Facilities Manager.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in HVAC, building maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- Valid HVAC certification (e.g., EPA Section 608, NATE) is required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in HVAC system diagnostics, maintenance, and repair, strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ability to work independently and manage time effectively, good communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
Salary:
$70,000 - $90,000 per year.
