About the Role

US Foods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Facility Operations Manager to join our team in Managing Daily Operations and Safety. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily work and safety of associates engaged in building, grounds, sanitation, refrigeration systems, power industrial equipment, and security maintenance through tracking software and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Assign, monitor, and lead facility projects for quality and timely completion, ensuring they align with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and enforce Company policies and procedures, interpreting and training associates on preferred work methods (PMWs).
  • Perform management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews, and terminations.
  • Maintain associate relations through regular meetings, open communication, and resolving questions and explaining policies.
  • Manage labor hours within budget, prepare work schedules, and plan extra workdays as needed.
  • Develop business relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring efficient operations, and maintain current certificates of insurance and hold harmless agreements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure upgrades and repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare budget, profit plans, and capital requests, suggesting efficiency ideas and cost reduction measures to increase facility efficiency.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, conducting audits to ensure accurate inspections and documentation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance management experience.
  • Working knowledge of ammonia and Freon systems.
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations and governing bodies.
  • Good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain co-worker relationships.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong problem-solving and organization skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong leadership abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
