Job Title: Sanitation Worker
Job Overview
We are looking for a committed Sanitation Worker to become a part of our team within a food production setting. The main duty involves maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the production area, machinery, and equipment to ensure readiness for the subsequent production cycle. This role encompasses thorough cleaning activities utilizing industrial-grade cleaning agents, with all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) provided, including gloves and protective suits.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform deep cleaning tasks on production lines and equipment.
- Sanitize all components of the production process.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and effectively.
Essential Skills
Hard Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sanitation role within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Capability to perform manual labor, including lifting items weighing up to 75 lbs.
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to following safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Job Type
This position is classified as Contract-to-Hire.
Work Environment
The role is conducted entirely on-site in a food manufacturing facility that adheres to all CGMP and HACCP standards. The production area is not climate-controlled, experiencing cold temperatures in winter and heat in summer. Proper footwear is mandatory, and adherence to CGMP policies is required, including restrictions on jewelry and mandates for hair covering.
