Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Sanitation Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our plant and grounds. This includes performing daily cleaning tasks, maintaining equipment, and working with a team of dedicated professionals to consistently produce positive sanitation results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and operational for the next production run.
  • Know and understand the purpose and usage rate of all sanitizers and cleaning solutions.
  • Maintain personal safety equipment and ensure proper usage.
  • Communicate with coworkers and supervision on cleaning process information.
  • Conduct on-the-job training of new team members and assist in training activities.
  • Support team concepts on major cleaning assignments.
  • Work independently on projects with limited supervision.
  • Operate sanitation equipment, including floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, and steam cleaners.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing or light industrial environment is preferred.
  • Sanitation experience in food manufacturing, food safety, or industrial truck experience is a plus.
  • Weekend and holiday work may be required.
