The Sales Coordinator at Town Pump collaborates closely with the Hotel General Manager and the Regional Director of Sales to enhance the promotion and sale of accommodations and meeting spaces, aiming to boost hotel occupancy and revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary emphasis is on internal sales, which encompasses:
- Organizing meeting room specifics and managing incoming inquiries, including group reservations, meeting space bookings, and catering requirements.
- Conducting proactive sales outreach to secure new business opportunities.
Travel may be required in conjunction with the Regional Director of Sales to participate in promotional initiatives and Sales Blitz events.
Upholding a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality is essential at all times.Collaborate with the Regional Director of Sales and Hotel General Manager to review and comprehend the Marketing Plan, Budget, and Strategies to achieve optimal occupancy and revenue.
Deliver outstanding customer service to every guest, with a particular focus on corporate clients, groups, and meeting planners.
Essential Duties:
- Respond to incoming requests for information and ensure that all aspects of guest experiences and events surpass expectations.
Client Needs Assessment:
- Identify client requirements for rooms, suites, meeting spaces, and preferred dates.
- Negotiate meeting space and room rates based on booked volume, whether for groups or on an annual basis.
- Enter new individual business accounts into the property management system and coordinate with the Front Desk.- Regularly reach out to clients during their stay to assess satisfaction levels.
Customer Relationship Management: After a client departs, the Sales Coordinator's responsibilities continue to foster repeat business.
This may involve offering discounts for future stays or functions or providing referral credits for business generated through the client.
The Sales Coordinator typically conducts a post-event review with business clients to ensure satisfaction and maintains communication through periodic mailings or emails throughout the year.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Sales Targets:
- The sales call quota for this role is determined by a point system, which includes prospecting calls, site tours, and personal meetings with new accounts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Proficiency:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to inquiries from various stakeholders.
Mathematical Competence:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Familiarity with basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Reasoning Skills:
- Ability to solve practical problems and address a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
