About the Job:

As a Credentialing Specialist at Kootenai Health, you will be responsible for performing credentialing processes for initial applications and reappointments in a timely and complete manner. You will work as part of a multispecialty team that performs functions in credentialing, privileging, and enrollment.

The team consists of a director, credentialing and enrollment coordinators, credentialing and enrollment specialists, and administrative support. Our internal mission statement is to ensure that Kootenai Health has a provider network of the highest quality who strive to improve health one patient at a time in a friendly and professional culture committed to superior quality and safety.

You will collect and verify sensitive provider data through confidential sources and maintain a credentialing database. You will prepare files for presentation to the department chairman, credentials committee, executive committee, and hospital board. You will also perform analysis and appropriate follow-up of each initial application and reappointment.

Key responsibilities include:

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent education and work experience
  • Two years of hospital credentialing experience preferred
  • CPCS certification from the National Association of Medical Staff Services preferred
