Process Optimization Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at ManpowerGroup. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for facilitating the completion of day-to-day activities supporting the PCBA production line.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Engineering to design and develop new products and maintain current products, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Plan and Establish Work Schedules for 2nd shift team members, ensuring production goals are met and team members are equipped to succeed.
- Operate and Maintain SMT Production Line equipment, including stencil printers, pick and place machines, and ovens, to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
- Identify and Implement Process Improvements to increase efficiency, quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction, leading Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
- Implement and Maintain Lean Practices to create a safe, organized, and efficient work environment, including 5S, waste elimination, built-in quality, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a Safe Working Environment by utilizing safe working methods and reporting any hazards or incidents.
- Monitor Workmanship to ensure product specifications are achieved, and maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Manage Daily Reports and Epicor Transactions to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of production activities.
- Program and Debug Pick and Place Equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform Daily PMs on Equipment to ensure equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly.
- Monitor Performance of Production Equipment and Team Members to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize process efficiency.
- Test, Program, Inspect, and Troubleshoot PCBA's to ensure high-quality products are produced.
- Perform Troubleshooting and Repair of Production and Engineering Equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production.
- Assist in Maintaining Calibration of Testing and Inspection Equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Support Process and Equipment Continuous Improvement Activities to drive innovation and excellence in production.
- Work in a Safe Manner and address any unsafe conditions to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform All Duties Assigned by Supervisor to support Manufacturing Operations, including overtime and weekend work as needed.
- Basic Computer Skills including Microsoft Office are required.
- Experience with PCBA Production Equipment including stencil printers, pick and place machines, and ovens is essential.
- Exceptional Verbal and Written Communication Skills are required to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Good Analytical Skills and Problem-Solving abilities are necessary to identify and implement process improvements.
- Detail-Oriented, Accurate, and Organized with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team with limited guidance.
- Confidentiality and Time Management skills are essential to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Operate Electric Table Saws, Drill Presses, Sanders, Electric Meters, and Other Machines in the tool shop, with basic machining, welding, and/or fabrication skills a plus.
- Use Basic Hand Tools and Battery-Operated Tools to perform tasks and maintain equipment.
- Maintain and Repair Small Tools and Equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- ODB+ File Import and Checking to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Run Design for Assembly Checks (DFA) to ensure product designs meet assembly requirements.
- Run Design for Manufacturing Checks (DFM) to ensure product designs meet manufacturing requirements.
- Verify Design of Panel/Array for PCB to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Ensure Proper Stencil for SMT Build to ensure high-quality products are produced.
- Work Collaboratively on Footprint Design for Components to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Work Collaboratively on Geometry or Parts that Will Need Either Overprint or Underprint on Stencils for SMT to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Reflow Profiles to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Types of Solders, Solder Balls, and Manufacturers of Solder to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- High Pin Count and Design Packages BGA's.3,.4,.5mm to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Experience with Highly Dense Designs. Minimum Component Spacing to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Minimum and Maximum Allowed Panel/Array for Running SMT to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Know and Understand Different Thickness of Stencils to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Know and Understand Different Coatings of the Stencils to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- AOI Setup, Programming, and Learning to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (4) years' related experience are required.
