Job Summary

As a Speech Therapist I SH, Inpatient, you will provide diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders under supervision. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, and work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders for adult and pediatric populations, administering diagnostic tests and implementing individualized treatments.
  • Advise physicians and patients of disorders and develop treatment schedules, ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing department policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for new or enhanced services or levels of patient care.
Basic Qualifications
  • Completion of a Speech Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Internship required.
  • Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Speech-Language Pathologist License (California) and Basic Life Support required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier and Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate.
Additional Requirements
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Work Environment

This position is located at Kaiser Permanente's San Francisco Hospital and requires a minimum of 2 weekend day shifts per month and 2 holiday shifts per year. The work schedule is per diem, with a pay range of $55.24 per hour.
