Position: Employee Assistance Program Consultant

Working Hours: 12pm-8pm EST

The Employee Assistance Program Consultant role presents a distinctive opportunity within Spring Health, focusing on high-quality consultations related to workplace issues for human resource representatives, management, and employees. This position will report directly to the Clinical Manager at Spring Health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver management consultations aimed at enhancing employee wellbeing and workplace productivity during the hours of 12-8pm EST, with flexibility regarding your location.
  • Facilitate critical incident response requests.
  • Conduct management referral intakes in accordance with established protocols; ensure suitable placement of referred employees; provide guidance on EAP procedures to counselors assisting employees.
  • Manage daily shifts on an incoming queue and adhere to service level agreements for response times.
  • Follow up to monitor employee engagement and provide feedback to supervisors and HR/Managers.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed for both providers and HR/Managers, including signed releases for coordinating follow-up with treatment providers.
  • Provide limited aftercare monitoring, checking in with employees and/or providers to ensure employee safety and continuity of care.
  • Evaluate risk and manage crises for members and organizations by offering immediate support, triage, safety planning, and follow-up.
  • Identify and resolve barriers to care with support from leadership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the client’s benefits ecosystem and programs to facilitate appropriate referrals and assist the navigation team.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation that complies with risk management and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience (independent licensure required).
  • Preferred qualifications include SAP certification and CEAP certification.
  • Experience in supervisory roles and collaboration with management and HR professionals is preferred.
  • Experience in crisis management and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment.
  • Familiarity with terminology and concepts in employee assistance and human services programs.
  • Experience in EAP services.
  • Experience working with diverse populations (bilingual candidates preferred).
  • Knowledge of healthcare environments and community resources.
  • Proficient in technology and comfortable with adopting new platforms and tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.

The target salary range for this position is $48.72, part of a competitive total rewards package that includes stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual compensation may vary based on experience, location, internal equity, and other relevant factors.
