About the Role

The Director of Total Rewards will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the benefits and rewards programs for Tides Center, supporting over 1200 employees across the United States. This role will work in partnership with the Talent Management team to inform the integrity of compensation, pay equity, and innovative recognition programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of benefits specialists
  • Partner with the Benefits Broker to conduct benefit market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in total rewards
  • Develop and execute an innovative, strategic, and progressive benefits strategy rooted in a whole-person approach to personal and professional well-being
  • Nurture relationships with operational partners, including employee resource groups, executive team members, and people leaders
  • Ensure all total rewards are aligned with organization values and remote-first environment, with employees across a multi-state landscape
  • Lead and communicate annual open enrollment design, implementation, and successful rollout
  • Design and implement a full suite of benefits for Tides Center employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a complex organization, with 5+ years leading benefits strategy
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of related work experience
  • Certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM or HRCI) and/or benefits (e.g., CEBS), preferred
  • Experience planning, designing, developing, testing, and deploying benefit plans within benefits module
  • Leadership experience in a union-represented environment, preferred
What We Offer

Tides Center is committed to providing a competitive compensation package, valuing pay equity and considering factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. The starting salary will fall into one of three ranges: $132,600 - $165,800 (most of the United States), $159,200 - $199,000 (New York City & San Francisco metro areas).
