Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal Marketing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our marketing and advertising compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our marketing materials comply with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys with review of marketing and advertising collateral, including press releases, websites, mobile applications, and social media content, to ensure compliance with trademarks, rights of privacy/rights of publicity, intellectual property license agreements, and corporate guidelines.
  • Review scripts and storyboards for social media, radio, and television commercials.
  • Review and prepare first-draft product and offer terms and conditions, deal memos, and boilerplate marketing contracts, including disclosures, promotions/sweepstakes rules and agreements, advertising orders, waivers/releases/indemnity agreements, and other marketing and advertising-related agreements.
  • Draft correspondence and track deadlines.
  • Maintain contract files.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with company-wide policies and initiatives related to customer data, privacy, and security.
  • Act as a first point of contact for general day-to-day inquiries and facilitate answers to queries across all internal departments as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 to 7 years of in-house experience with a general focus on marketing/advertising, intellectual property, and internet-related/privacy matters, preferably in the entertainment industry.
  • Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience specifically related to marketing/advertising through digital marketing and social media.
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently and effectively.
  • Team player with a strong orientation toward collaborative, results-oriented environment.
