About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Country Chief Accountant to join our team at F. Hoffmann-La Roche Gruppe. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for coordinating with our Americas Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and communicate consolidated financial reviews, ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements.
  • Take ownership of Internal Controls of Financial Reporting (ICFR) documentation and internal controls matters, including IFRS 16 Leasing and management accounting aspects.
  • Review and approve manual journal entries, as well as ensure the financial integrity of our Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable balances.
  • Manage treasury cash flow, forecast current and future cash flow requirements, and arrange for necessary fund transfers.
  • Oversee master data management, including Chart of Accounts, Cost Center, Profit Center, and vendor & customer master data.
  • Prepare audit-related schedules and documentation, and participate in compliance audits.
  • Identify and implement solutions for continuous improvement opportunities in finance operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a related field, with at least 5 years in an Accountant role or audit experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in relevant accounting software (preferably SAP).
  • Meticulous, independent, proactive, and able to complete tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to express ideas and expectations clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Project Management, either managing projects directly, sponsoring, or contributing as a key stakeholder.
