Role Overview: As a Customer Support Specialist, you will provide assistance to members and prospective members regarding their Credit Union needs. Your responsibilities will include explaining services, setting up new accounts, addressing issues, and directing members to the appropriate personnel. This role is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring adaptability.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position with a work schedule typically ranging from 8 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Saturday shifts may be required. Currently, the Contact Center operates on a 32-hour work week, consisting of four 8-hour days, with compensation for 40 hours. Please note that the work schedule may revert to a traditional five-day, 8-hour format based on business needs, and days off may vary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely information about all Credit Union products and services to members and potential members.
- Resolve issues within your authority and escalate more complex problems to your supervisor, along with suggested solutions.
- Maintain professionalism and utilize effective problem-resolution skills to assist members.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling services while delivering courteous and professional service.
- Process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments, efficiently and accurately.
- Act as a liaison between members and various departments, ensuring prompt responses to all electronic and written correspondence.
- Stay informed about product updates, procedures, and other relevant changes. Participate in training to enhance job performance.
Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates should possess a minimum of six months of relevant experience in a call center or banking environment. Qualified individuals will have the necessary education and experience to fulfill the essential functions of this role, with or without accommodation.
