Job Description

Job Summary:

The Collections Specialist for Steel Lending Group is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and collections for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
    • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
    • Provide solutions-based support to customers to meet their financial needs.
  • Collections:
    • Make outgoing collection calls to customers to negotiate payment terms.
    • Process payments via customer request and maintain accurate records.
    • Negotiate payment plans with customers to minimize potential legal action or repossession.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and text in a timely and professional manner.
  • Administrative:
    • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry and record-keeping.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and collections.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in customer service or collections preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
