Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is in search of a dedicated Front Desk Representative. The ideal candidate should be a reliable and enthusiastic team member who is professional, organized, and thrives in a dynamic medical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care by maintaining a positive and composed attitude in a bustling office atmosphere.
- Facilitate effective and pleasant interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the delivery of superior patient services.
- Perform essential tasks including patient check-in and check-out, verifying demographic and financial details for each visit, collecting co-payments and outstanding balances, scheduling appointments, and communicating with patients.
- Execute additional related duties that support patient flow and enhance service quality.
- Uphold confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle other clerical responsibilities as needed, such as managing Medical Records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical or healthcare environment or equivalent customer service/front desk experience.
- Proficient computer skills and a strong commitment to confidentiality. OCB is an equal opportunity employer.
- Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with Epic software is advantageous.
