Job Overview

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston is in search of a dedicated Front Desk Representative. The ideal candidate should be a reliable and enthusiastic team member who is professional, organized, and thrives in a dynamic medical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care by maintaining a positive and composed attitude in a bustling office atmosphere.
  • Facilitate effective and pleasant interactions with patients and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the delivery of superior patient services.
  • Perform essential tasks including patient check-in and check-out, verifying demographic and financial details for each visit, collecting co-payments and outstanding balances, scheduling appointments, and communicating with patients.
  • Execute additional related duties that support patient flow and enhance service quality.
  • Uphold confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Handle other clerical responsibilities as needed, such as managing Medical Records.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical or healthcare environment or equivalent customer service/front desk experience.
  • Proficient computer skills and a strong commitment to confidentiality. OCB is an equal opportunity employer.
  • Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with Epic software is advantageous.
