The Policy & Research Manager, Longevity Economy will be instrumental in establishing OATS as a premier authority on the economic significance of the 50+ demographic. This role emphasizes the necessity of fostering age-inclusive societies by underscoring the repercussions of neglecting discrimination in all its forms. The manager will be pivotal in enhancing OATS's understanding of the vast potential and influence of the 50+ market, as we strive towards a just future where individuals enjoy longer, healthier lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on critical issues relevant to the organization. Engage in discussions at roundtables, forums, and collaborative working groups.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pinpoint the organization's public policy priorities and positions. Cultivate and utilize external partnerships to drive outcomes.
  • Evaluate federal and state legislative and regulatory proposals, providing impartial policy analysis to guide national and state discussions and the organization's strategic engagement.
  • Conduct thorough policy research and analysis to uncover opportunities and devise solutions for both internal and external stakeholders. Review secondary and syndicated data and perform literature reviews to extract valuable insights.
  • Draft comprehensive reports and recommendations that reflect thought leadership and align with organizational objectives. Organize public meetings to gather insights, disseminate findings, share best practices, and promote solutions.
Qualifications
  • Possess an advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, Business, Mathematics, Political Science, or a related discipline, along with 5+ years of pertinent experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing data and metrics to elucidate current global economic trends, with a focus on how market segments and demographics influence macroeconomic patterns.
  • Ability to swiftly comprehend and interpret strategic issues and directives.
  • Skilled in gathering and analyzing information, with the capability to write and communicate clearly and persuasively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities and styles; strong verbal and written presentation skills, with the ability to convey key points simply and visually.
  • Familiarity with emerging data visualization tools is highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing long-term projects that necessitate meticulous project management and resource allocation.
  • Solid understanding of national and international economic trends and their drivers.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)
