Overview

OATS is at the forefront of shaping policies and conducting research that impacts individuals aged 50 and above. Our mission is to advocate for the economic significance of this demographic and promote the creation of inclusive societies that address age-related challenges.

The Policy & Research Manager, Longevity Economy will be instrumental in establishing OATS as a key authority on the economic contributions of the 50+ population. This position emphasizes the importance of addressing discrimination and the potential repercussions of inaction, as we strive for a future where individuals can lead longer and healthier lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on critical issues relevant to the organization. Engage in discussions at roundtables, forums, and collaborative groups.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the organization's public policy objectives and stance. Foster and utilize external partnerships to drive outcomes.
  • Evaluate federal and state legislative and regulatory initiatives, providing unbiased policy analysis to guide national and state discussions and the organization's strategic engagement.
  • Conduct comprehensive policy research and analysis to uncover opportunities and devise solutions for both internal and external stakeholders. Analyze secondary data and perform literature reviews to generate actionable insights.
  • Draft reports and recommendations that reflect thought leadership and align with organizational goals. Organize public meetings to collect insights, disseminate findings, share best practices, and promote solutions.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, Business, Mathematics, Political Science, or a related discipline, accompanied by 5+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in utilizing data and metrics to elucidate current global economic trends, with a focus on how market segments and demographics influence broader economic patterns.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and interpret strategic issues and directives.
  • Strong skills in information collection and analysis, along with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities and styles; adept at presenting complex information simply and visually.
  • Familiarity with emerging data visualization tools is highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing long-term projects that necessitate meticulous oversight and resource allocation.
  • Solid understanding of national and international economic trends and their drivers.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

OATS designates Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting days, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be conducted within the United States and its territories.
