Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Support Tech Senior to join our team at the Virginia Department of Health. This role will provide technical support to one or more programs, applying policy and procedures to daily finance reporting and accounts billing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex technical office tasks in support of programs, including finance reporting and accounts billing.
  • Serve as an expert contact and information resource for clinical programs/services.
  • Provide information to promote access to other services and develop, promote, and coordinate program activities.
  • Supervise and direct workflow processes, research and process insurance claims, and gather data for program activities.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of medical office procedures, computer and software technology, and customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, orally and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience with software applications and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow established procedures and applicable policies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework in Medical Terminology.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Experience using Webvision, Payscan, Avality, and/or other health coverage software.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial reporting associated with billing.
