Position Overview:
As the Manager of Hospice Services, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of hospice care. This role involves collaboration with various disciplines, both internal and external, including agencies, facilities, and medical professionals, all while aligning with the mission and vision of Ozarks Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise and manage the hospice nursing team, promoting a culture of autonomy and accountability.
- Foster professional and personal growth among staff members, ensuring continuous development.
- Provide leadership and support to the nursing aides and therapy teams.
Patient Care Accountability:
Ensure comprehensive care for patients by:
- Overseeing the collection and documentation of medical histories and vital signs.
- Educating and training staff in preparation for JCAHO standards.
Leadership Role:
In the absence of the Director, assume full responsibility for all hospice-related activities, ensuring continuity of care and services.
Qualifications:
- Current RN License in Missouri or from a compact state.
- Expertise in nursing assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Certification in hospice and palliative care is preferred.
