GeorgiaGov is seeking a skilled Criminal Investigator I to join our team. As a key member of our Investigations Area, you will conduct thorough and comprehensive investigations related to the authority granted to the Office of the Georgia Secretary of State. Your expertise will be essential in enforcing Georgia statutes, policies, and applicable rules of the boards. You will investigate alleged or suspected violations of Federal, State, or local laws/rules and regulations, and prepare reports detailing your findings and proposed responses. Your strong analytical skills and attention to detail will be crucial in examining records, identifying case issues, and gathering evidence. You will also collaborate with other state, local, and federal agencies on appropriate cases, and provide testimony in criminal, administrative, and civil proceedings. To be successful in this role, you will need to maintain mandatory P.O.S.T. in-service training requirements for certification and have a valid driver's license. If you have a strong moral character, a valid driver's license, and a passion for public service, we encourage you to apply. **Requirements:**
* Three (3) years in law enforcement or related field
* Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) (PBLE) certification in the state of Georgia
* A valid driver's license
* Must be age 21 or older and a United States citizen
**Education Requirement:**
* Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Associate degree in a related field and three years of directly related experience
* Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year directly related experience
* Three years of directly related experience
