Role Overview:
The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in the overall management of Sparrow Italia, with a particular focus on Back of House operations. This position involves collaborating with the General Manager and Executive Chef to shape daily operations and strategize for business growth, sales enhancement, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and retention of skilled personnel.
  • Conduct performance evaluations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Identify and nurture potential leaders within the team.
  • Master all operational roles within both front and back of house.
  • Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations.
  • Communicate maintenance needs effectively.
  • Utilize restaurant management software proficiently.
  • Oversee daily employee supervision with fairness and respect.
  • Support the General Manager in training and developing the management team.
  • Address customer feedback and concerns with professionalism.
  • Manage inventory and labor costs effectively.
  • Complete payroll processes accurately and timely.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Two to three years of management experience in a similar environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage operations and regulations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Proven ability to foster positive relationships within the team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capability to perform various physical tasks including standing, walking, and bending.
  • Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
