JOB SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing incoming communications from drivers and customer service representatives. This position involves collecting and documenting delivery time data and status updates for designated accounts, while also supporting various functions within the Transportation Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collects and logs delivery time data from route drivers.
  • Maintains communication with management and customer service regarding driver locations, delivery delays, and vehicle issues.
  • Reviews daily delivery logs for accuracy and implements necessary corrections.
  • Collaborates with the purchasing department for product pickups, assigning drivers to ensure timely returns of products and documentation.
  • Reassigns drivers to delivery routes in the event of absenteeism.
  • Implements minor adjustments to delivery routes as required.
  • Addresses customer inquiries and directs calls to customer service when necessary.
  • Manages adjustments that may significantly impact delivery schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must maintain a valid CDL for emergency route coverage.
Experience
  • 3 years of experience in a transportation or warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with delivery areas.
Professional Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor when interacting with customers and service teams.
  • Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Proficient in using computer terminals and other office equipment.
  • Capable of performing continuous data entry tasks.
