Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe swimmers and protect life in our aquatic facilities.
  • Prevent accidents and enforce regulations to ensure a safe environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest inquiries.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem-solving.
  • Follow and enforce equipment checkout programs.
  • Report defects and necessary repairs to the Aquatics Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum age of 16 preferred.
  • Possession of current certificates in American Red Cross First Aid or First Aid For Public Safety Personnel (Title22) or above; CPR for the Professional Rescuer (CPR Pro), and Lifeguard Training.
  • Ability to swim with proficiency and endurance.
  • Knowledge of basic swimming techniques and ability to teach swimming to all age groups.

Working Environment:

This position requires working in an office and outdoor/pool environment with a low to high noise level. The employee must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.

Required Apparel:

The person hired must wear standard apparel as prescribed by the Aquatics Director.
