Job Title: Production Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations at Optimas Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring manufacturing efficiency and maximizing plant output while maintaining world-class customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning and scheduling of production activities to maximize manufacturing efficiency and timely product completion.
  • Lead production and production support teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in manufacturing processes and implement changes to increase productivity and quality.
  • Communicate key performance indicators to shop floor employees and provide guidance on process improvements.
  • Manage operator training and apprenticeship programs to ensure a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
  • Assist in the development of work instructions and procedures related to manufacturing and maintenance processes.
  • Support decisions related to order expediting and de-expediting to address customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, tooling, maintenance, and outside processing.
  • Engage with the quality department to support root cause analysis and issue resolution.
  • Assist in capacity analysis for PPAP and other processes.
  • Maintain labor and manufacturing costs within budget.
  • Maximize equipment uptime by managing preventive and predictive maintenance of all production equipment.
  • Provide strategic direction for machine overhauls and rebuilds.
  • Own exception reporting related to scheduling, planning, and execution matters.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in manufacturing.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with shop floor personnel.
  • Proficient in ERP utilization to track production activities.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and leadership techniques.
  • Production and processing knowledge, including raw materials, production processes, finishing operations, quality control, and costs.
  • Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office products and ability to operate software and electronic devices.
  • Verbal and written expression skills to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
Physical Demands and Travel:
  • Regularly required to talk and/or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Primarily desk/office/shop floor with travel less than 10%.
  • Fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
