Department: Hualapai Lodge
Classification: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: H4
Supervisor: Housekeeping Manager - Lodge

Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees a dedicated team of Room and Laundry Attendants, ensuring exceptional custodial services for guest accommodations and communal areas at the Lodge. This role is pivotal in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction through various tasks, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing bathrooms, changing linens, restocking supplies, and managing waste disposal. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring all equipment is maintained in a clean, safe, and functional state while adhering to health and safety protocols in the handling of cleaning agents. Security measures must be strictly followed in all maintained areas. Additionally, the supervisor coordinates daily work schedules for the team.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
  1. Proven ability to communicate effectively and engage with guests and staff in a clear and professional manner, delivering exceptional customer service.
  2. Physical capability to perform custodial tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning restrooms, handling laundry, and managing waste.
  3. Knowledge of cleaning products and chemicals, along with safety and security policies. Ability to instruct others on proper procedures.
  4. Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
  5. Ability to cultivate a collaborative team environment, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and maintain positive working relationships.
  6. Experience in leading, coaching, training, and developing team members in their roles.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Directly supervise the Room and Laundry Attendant team, coordinating daily work schedules and assisting with tasks as needed.
2. Ensure adherence to security, safety, health, and sanitation policies for the well-being of guests and staff.
3. Lead, coach, train, and inspire team members to achieve their best performance.
4. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment.
5. Conduct inspections of rooms to verify that attendants are fulfilling their responsibilities and provide feedback or recognition as appropriate.
6. Carry out timely performance evaluations and foster a team-oriented environment that encourages individual growth.
7. Ensure effective communication with team members, sharing relevant information promptly.
8. Respond to visitor inquiries and provide insights about the Lodge's history and culture.
9. Promote a collaborative team atmosphere, manage multiple priorities, and sustain positive relationships.
10. Keep the Housekeeping Manager informed of any issues or concerns.
11. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
1. Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities.
2. Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
3. High School Diploma or GED required.
4. Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
5. Preference will be given to Hualapai Tribal members.

Working Conditions:
Must be able to routinely walk, stand, bend, and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs. Availability to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays is essential.
