At VHC Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the clinical environment is clean, stocked, and ready for patient care. Your responsibilities will include performing phlebotomy, preparing specimens for transport to labs, and assisting with patient flow. You will also provide general clinical support to physicians and other staff, answer phones, make appointments, collect co-pays and payment, and assist with billing. Additionally, you will be responsible for adding information to the electronic medical record.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Graduation from a medical assisting degree/program is preferred.
  • Six months of healthcare experience is required.
  • One year of healthcare/medical - primary care/office experience is preferred.
  • One year of medical terminology experience is required.
  • Knowledge of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard is required.
  • Experience in clinical pharmacology is required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is preferred.
  • BLS certification is required.
