Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at AllCare Primary and Immediate Care. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and administrative tasks.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens, perform basic laboratory tests, and record results.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to legal and ethical standards.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, follow-up care, and provide clear instructions on medical procedures.
  • Manage patient appointments, coordinate with healthcare providers, and ensure a smooth flow of patients.
  • Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, verify insurance information, and maintain patient medical records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists, follow up on patient appointments, and manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of medical assistant training program with current CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification.
  • 2+ years of medical assistant experience, preferably in a primary care, immediate care, or physician practice setting.
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems (EMR) used in clinical management settings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • 2+ years of direct patient care experience performing medical assistant clinical duties.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including OSHA and HIPAA requirements.
Working Conditions
  • This role is patient-facing and requires working in a clinical setting, with moderate noise levels and potential exposure to infectious diseases and blood-borne pathogens.
  • Requires the ability to stand and sit for hours at a time, with some bending and stooping, and ability to use manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements.
  • Hours may vary based on location, patient volume, and business needs.
