Job Overview

As a Medical Assistant at National Spine & Pain Centers, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare team in providing exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities
  • Anticipate and support the needs of our Providers and patients by managing daily patient flow and acting as a liaison between them.
  • Monitor clinical messages and effectively communicate information to our Providers and patients.
  • Organize and prepare exam, procedure, and recovery rooms before and after each patient.
  • Take and record patients' vitals, noting any changes or areas of concern.
  • Complete documentation for patient charts by obtaining diagnostic studies, reviewing current medications, and recording Providers' orders and prescriptions.
  • Provide patients with discharge/follow-up instructions, educational brochures, and dietary requirements.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or a minimum of two years of clinical Medical Assistant experience.
  • Ability to take vital signs.
  • General knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology.
  • Excellent patient care skills and awareness of the legal implications of work and words in healthcare.
  • General knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
  • Excellent organizational/multi-tasking skills with acute attention to details.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to learn and use new software technologies for electronic patient medical records and practice management scheduling systems.
