Job Overview

Achieve is a leading digital personal finance company that helps everyday people move from struggling to thriving. As a Staff Accountant II, you'll play a critical role in supporting our business operations and finance organization, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end account closing activities and journal entries to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly accruals for large spends on marketing, legal, consulting, and general expenses to maintain financial transparency.
  • Complete cash reconciliations to verify the accuracy of our financial records.
  • Support monthly variance analysis of financial statements, investigating and commenting on variances to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain and update the balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Support external audit in compiling reports, schedules, and conducting research to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Participate as a support role on special projects to drive business growth and improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of strong general ledger experience.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage timelines and proactively communicate with various team members.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and drive to deliver high-quality work.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP is needed.
  • Experience in the financial services industry a plus.

Salary Range: $70,000 to $75,000 annually + benefits.
