POSITION OVERVIEW

The Youth Development Associate (YDA) serves as a key role within the After School Program at Catholic Charities. This position is dedicated to delivering educational assistance and enrichment activities for elementary-aged children. The YDA is expected to work up to 15 hours per week during the academic year, with potential for increased hours during the summer months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver educational support and enrichment activities to designated groups of students
  • Maintain daily attendance records and submit reports to the Program Coordinator
  • Create lesson plans with defined outcomes
  • Engage in Professional Development opportunities
  • Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) Responsibilities
    • Ensure precise data collection and analysis
    • Communicate trends and findings to the supervisor
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred college education; High School Diploma and relevant experience in the education sector required

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Effective classroom management and group facilitation abilities
  • Capability to engage with urban youth and children
  • Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous
