Job Overview

Segula Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician to join our team in Hartford, CT. As an Avionics Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures, participating in 5-S activities and performing all assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify, and service aircraft avionics, electrical, and electronic equipment.
  • Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
  • Operate ground support equipment as needed.
  • Assist with mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with maintenance at off-site locations and collaborating with other maintenance disciplines.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in avionics work or substantiated equivalent experience.
  • Avionics/electric A/C technical school or other substantiated equivalent education.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawings.
  • Effective communication skills in both written and verbal form, including the ability to communicate individual and aircraft status.
  • Basic set of hand tools and ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools.
  • Ability to obtain Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required.
  • Flexibility to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled work days and holidays.
  • Ability to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside.
  • Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) qualification (if applicable).
  • Airframe Certification (if required by customer, Commercial Aircraft).
  • Airframe (A) Certification, Powerplant (P) Certification, or A & P Certificate.
  • GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certificate.
  • Experience on corporate jet aircraft/commercial aircraft.
  • Basic PC skills.
