Role Overview:

As a Micro Focus PPM System Administrator and Developer at ZAR IT Solutions, you will play a crucial role in the management, configuration, and enhancement of the Micro Focus Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) system. Your primary focus will be to ensure optimal performance and continuous improvement of our PPM environment, aligning it with our organizational project management and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and oversee the Micro Focus PPM system, ensuring its reliability, efficiency, and security.
  • Customize and configure the PPM system to fulfill the specific needs of the organization, including workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Develop and implement integrations with various enterprise systems and applications.
  • Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver effective PPM solutions.
  • Conduct regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain the PPM system's security and currency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the PPM system, providing necessary technical support to users.
  • Create and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users to enhance their effective use of the PPM system.
  • Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to improve user experience and efficiency.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, customizations, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a System Administrator and Developer for Micro Focus PPM or similar project management software.
  • Strong understanding of project and portfolio management principles and best practices.
  • Proficient in configuring and customizing PPM systems, including workflow design, report generation, and dashboard creation.
  • Experience with scripting and programming languages such as SQL, JavaScript, and PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with integrating PPM systems with other enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
