Workday Security and System Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workday System and Security Administrator to join our team at ABBTECH Professional Resources. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our Workday HCM environment, with a focus on security, system integrity, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain Workday security roles and permissions to ensure proper access controls and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage and maintain Workday system configurations, updates, and integrations to ensure smooth system functionality.
  • Act as the backup administrator for the UKG Pro system, primarily used for payroll, providing support when needed to maintain operational continuity.
  • Assist in coordinating SSO connections between Workday, UKG Pro, and other third-party vendors using Okta or other identity management solutions.
  • Manage Workday incidents by identifying and troubleshooting integration issues, submitting incidents to Workday, and tracking resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) by maintaining controls, documentation, and audit trails related to system access and security configurations.
  • Create and maintain detailed system documentation, process diagrams, and security configurations to support business continuity and audit readiness.
  • Assist in the testing, validation, and successful deployment of new Workday features and updates.
  • Implement and monitor security policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support audit readiness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Workday, particularly in a security administration role.
  • Experience managing Workday security and system configurations.
  • Proficiency in creating custom Workday reports for auditing and compliance purposes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Certification in Security or System Administration.
  • Familiarity with SOX, GDPR, and other regulatory frameworks related to data security and compliance.
  • Experience with UKG Pro, as this role serves as a backup administrator for the system.
  • Experience with Okta or other identity management systems for supporting SSO and API integrations.
